World War III: God’s Judgments upon the Nations!

World War III: God’s Judgments Upon the Nations! deals with America’s role as a land of promise. It begins by portraying the U.S. as a promised land—one which has rich blessings promised if the nation is righteous, but cataclysmic judgments foretold if the nation sinks into wickedness. It describes the scriptural “cycle of righteousness,” and then presents clear evidence that hearts are being hardened, resulting evil outcomes are widespread, and judgments are drawing near.

It reports numerous prophetic warnings of perilous events which lie ahead for the United States of America and its allies. It gives evidence of its decline in righteousness and describes the desolation of abomination and events prophesied to occur during that coming conflict. Included are many prophecies of World War III from scriptural sources, LDS prophets, and even non-LDS sources.

This talk, first given over 40 years ago, still remains a popular classic source on future last-days events.

World War III: God’s Judgments Upon the Nations! reports numerous prophetic warnings of perilous events which lie ahead for the United States of America and its allies.

It begins by portraying the U.S. as a promised land—one which has rich blessings promised if the nation is righteous, but cataclysmic judgments foretold if the nation sinks into wickedness. It describes the scriptural “cycle of righteousness,” and presents clear evidence that hearts are being hardened, that resulting evil outcomes are widespread, and that judgments are drawing near.

The talk cites Joseph Smith’s warnings of attacks as the nation “spends her strength and means warring in foreign lands” until “other nations will say ‘Let’s divide up the lands of the United States.'” He said that “then the people of the US will unite and swear by the blood of their fore-fathers that the land shall not be divided. Then the country will go to war, and they will fight until one half of the US army will give up, and the rest will continue to struggle.” And then “the boys from the mountains will rush forth in time to save the American Army from defeat and ruin.”

Other warnings repeatedly allude to Russia “seeking to usurp her power over all the world.” A warning by Joseph Smith is quoted of the danger of invasion “by the heathen Chinese unless great care and protection are given.”

Scriptural prophecies are cited which warn of a future “desolation of abomination,” and foretell overflowing scourges, earthquakes, and desolations, with areas being swept bare by “famine, sword, and pestilence.”  Also included are numerous non-scriptural prophetic warnings. This talk, first given over 40 years ago, still remains a popular classic source of warning concerning future last-days events.
