Description
The Biblical Book of Hebrews provides significant insights into how Jesus attained his Godhood status. This site pulls the various Godhood elements together so they can be viewed in a more organized fashion.
The author of Hebrews wrote that God the Father appointed Jesus “heir of all things.” He explained that Jesus “hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name” than the angels. Then the Father told Jesus “Thou art my son, today have I begotten thee. ”
As in what became the coronation procedure for new kings, Jesus was presented to the people, in this case the angels, and the commandment “let all the angels of God worship him” was proclaimed.
Jesus was ordained a high priest in what became the Melchizedek priesthood. He was anointed, and the author of Hebrews wrote of the scepter he apparently received.
The length of his God-level service was set forth: “Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever.”
Other Godhood details, set forth in Hebrews, are covered in this site. Every Christian, every believer in Jesus Christ, can richly benefit by carefully scrutinizing the entire Book of Hebrews. This site will be helpful in guiding that study.
