The Relief Society Monument to Women at Nauvoo, Illinois, was created and erected as a tribute to all women. Thirteen life-sized sculptures, created by Dennis Smith and Florence Hansen, have been erected there in a majestic garden setting. Individually, the sculptures voice a statement on specific roles that women play. Collectively, they paint a vision of the circle of her influence. Their beauty and workmanship are an inspiration to all who experience them. This book, In Tribute to Woman, is the first in a series of three containing those Nauvoo Monuments to Womanhood. The five cross-stitch patterns it contains are: (1) Family Circle [138 sqs. x 99 sqs.]; (2) Teaching with Love [83 sqs. x 138 sqs.]; (3) Woman in Prayer [66 sqs. x 116 sqs.]; (4) Woman [56 sqs. x 140 sqs.]; and (5) Joyful Moment [114 sqs. x 115 sqs.]. Comprehensive instructions and drawings are provided for each project.
