This temple is located in St. Louis, Missouri. It is the 50th temple in operation today and was the first temple built and dedicated in the state of Missouri, though temple sites were dedicated in the 1830s in Independence, Far West, and Adam-ondi-Ahman. It was dedicated on June 1, 1997, by President Gordon B. Hinckley.
