History
The temple was originally dedicated on April 22, 2018, by President Gordon B. Hinckley. On August 26, 2017, the temple sustained serious flood damage during Hurricane Harvey. It was closed for repairs and rededicated April 22, 2018, by President M. Russell Ballard. It is the 97th temple in operation today and the second temple in the state of Texas.
